Description : Dimension XL Chemistry Analyzers The Dade Dimension XL clinical chemistry system is a floor-model, microprocessor-controlled, integrated instrument and chemistry system that measures a variety of analytes, including enzyme activities in body fluids. It is a discrete, random-access clinical chemistry analyzer that uses the Dade FlexTM multiple-test reagent cartridges, disposable reaction cuvettes, and integrated multisensor technology (IMT) with the Dade QuikLYTETM integrated multisensor to provide rapid, accurate, and precise test results. Features of the Dade Dimension XL include the capability of performing tests in random order, the capability to perform up to 500 photometric chemistry tests and 240 electrolyte tests per hour on serum, plasma, urine, or cerebrospinal fluid samples. Furthermore the XL uses various sizes and styles of primary sample tubes. The XL can hold up to 44 reagents cartridges in a non-CFC refrigeration system and has automatic reagent preparation. User interaction is done via an easy-to-use PC computer and via ten user-programmable panel keys on the instrument. Other features include the ability to produce the calculated results, an automatic rerun capability, automatic dilution for overrange samples, automatic dilution on urine samples, the capability to process user-defined methods, and the ability to automatically remove reagent cartridges when these cartridges are empty or their on-board life has expired. The XL Dimension can turn around a full chem. seven panel, including four electrolytes, in five to six minutes for the first panel with each additional panel completed in about one minute. The four electrolytes alone are available in less than 2.5 minutes.
