The Hewlett Packard 5345A Frequency Counter is an 11 digit counter to 500MHz by itself. However using it's 1000 second count, a 12th digit can be realized! The 5345A comes stock with an Ovenized High Stability Quartz Oscillator. So, the 11 digits are accurate. With it's rear frequency output, You can use it's High Stability Oscillator as a Frequency Reference! Using a 5355A Plug-In and 5356A,B or C Pods, the 5345A will count to up to 40GHz dependng on the Pod Letter. Email us your Frequency Needs. Operating from dc to 500 MHz, the counter also makes sub-microwave measurements including frequency, period, totalization, ratio, and time interval. As a full universal counter, the 5345A features 2 ns single-shot timing resolution, improving to 2 ps with averaging. The 5345A mainframe accommodates additional microwave products, including the 5355A Automatic Frequency Converter that extends operation to 1.5 GHz, and the 5356C Converter Head for measurements to 40 GHz. Together, the instruments provide an expandable range of capabilities for characterizing complex radar systems and components.
