National Instruments PXI-5142 Oscilloscope
The high resolution PXI-5142 Digitizer (Part Numbers: 195003E-01L, 779587-02, 779587-01) is intended for use in communication signal estimations. It has 2 channels that can perform high-resolution and low-noise estimations with up to 100 MHz of data transmission and onboard capabilities for computerized digital down conversion of quadrature and I/Q baseband filtering. This module is perfect for communications estimations and applications that require association with a low-RF converter.
The PXI-5142 also has PXI synchronization capabilities and data processing. In addition, the model offers two part numbers with different memory sizes: part number 779587-02 with 256 MB and part number 779587-01 with 64 MB.
The NI PXI-5142 is a 100 MS/s digitizer with onboard signal processing (OSP). OSP capacities incorporate quadrature digital down-conversion (DDC) and anti-alias filtering for baseband I/Q decimation and general use applications. With the vast dynamic range, programmable 50 Ω or 1 MΩ input, ranges from 200 mV to 20 V, and capacity to obtain more than a half million waveforms in installed memory, the PXI-5142 is perfect for both time and frequency domain analysis. The user can utilize the included NI TClk synchronization technique and the NI-TClk driver to adjust the sample clocks on any number of supported gadgets, in at least one chassis. In this unit, the driver is utilized to synchronize the sample clocks of every module. All parameters are set to identical values for every module, the sample clock is set to 100 MS per second, and all channels are enabled.
The PXI-5142 is run using the NI-SCOPE driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. It can be configured with the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The device has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes and should be calibrated at intervals specified by the manufacturer. The NI device weighs 16.2 oz, and measures 8.5 x 0.8 x 5.1 in. in physical dimensions.
It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C, and a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 71 °C.
