National Instruments PXIe-SCP5100 PXI Oscilloscope Bundle
The NI PXIe-SCP5100 (Part Number(s): 867010-02, 867010-03, 867010-04) is a complete PXI oscilloscope bundle targeted at engineers developing integrated, automated test systems. This complete system comprises a PXIe-1083 5-slot chassis, a PXIe-5105 oscilloscope module, and all required accessories with which to quickly set it up and make it operational. The kit utilizes two SMB female to mini-alligator clip leads for easy signal connection.
Engineers use the PXIe-SCP5100 in order to bring multiple measurement types together in one compact system, meaning that multiple benchtop instruments are no longer necessary. The heart of the PXIe-SCP5100 is the PXIe-5105 module, which delivers eight channels of analog input sampling at 60 MS/s with a bandwidth of 60 MHz and 12-bit resolution, together with a substantial 128 MB of onboard memory for many acquisitions. This makes the system well suited for medium-speed, high-channel-count applications in validation and production test environments. Control of the system is made simple by using a Thunderbolt port on a laptop, which creates an excellent platform for measuring portable performance.
One of the important features of this NI system is the inherent scalable nature of it within the PXI platform. The supplied chassis has 4 further slots available by which other sorts of instruments can be ported into the system, such as digital multimeters, waveform generators or switches. This modularity means that your investment can be protected into the future by enabling expansion of the system without replacing core hardware. Multi-instrument synchronization is easily achieved by the sharing of accurate timing and trigger information across the high-speed PXI Express backplane. For interactive use, the no-code InstrumentStudio software allows for a unified interface in which all instruments can be controlled, together with the gathering of data and debugging. For fully automated test sequences, integration with LabVIEW and TestStand allows for the powerful software ecosystem in which complex measurement routines, data logging and analysis can be developed, providing a complete solution for tough industrial automation and device validation tasks.
