The SmartBits LAN-3201A, a SmartMetrics Gigabit Ethernet Multimode Module, is a product of Spirent Communications. Spirent Communications introduced the Spirent SmartBits LAN-3201A SmartMetrics Gigabit Ethernet Multimode Module primarily for the layer 3 devices under test (DUTs). The layer 3 devices are investigated for their operation, suitability, and integrated operation with other devices with the help of the SmartBits LAN-3201A module. In addition to the layer 3 DUTs, the SmartBits LAN-3201A module is equally capable of testing the layer 2 DUTs as well. The GibE routers under normally loaded or heavily loaded situations can be analyzed by the incorporation of the SmartBits LAN-3201A SmartMetrics Gigabit Ethernet Module.
The Spirent LAN-3201A module has 1 Ethernet multimode port featuring a shortwave fiber connection of 850 nm wavelength. The Spirent Smarbits SMB-600 and SMB-6000B Chassis are used to hold up the SmartBits LAN-3201A SmartMetrics Gigabit Ethernet module. One SmartBits LAN-3201A SmartMetrics Gigabit Ethernet Module takes only one slot in the SMB-600 or SMB-6000B performance analysis system. The LAN-3201A module is able to originate as well as analyze Ethernet traffic. A fully operational LAN consisting of 8,192 client devices can be simulated proficiently with the SmartBits LAN-3201A module.
The SmartBits LAN-3201A module can simulate 512 million flows and as much as 8192 streams successfully.
