Precision Timebase Reference Module, Opt.:
040= 10, 20 and 40GHz Clock Input Capability
The Agilent (now Keysight) 86107A is a Precision Timebase Reference Module and represents one of the most significant improvements in wide-bandwidth sampling oscilloscopes in over a decade.
The precision timebase reduces the residual jitter of the 86100D measurement system from 1 ps to less than 100 fs in most configurations. It is essential for low jitter analysis of most high-performance electrical signals at rates above 10 Gb/s and optical signals at rates above 20 Gb/s. For 86100D configurations that require high channel counts, 86100 option PTB integrates the precision timebase into the 86100 mainframe, allowing up to 16 measurement channels.
