National Instruments NB-DIO-24 Digital I/O Board
The NB-DIO-24 is a Digital I/O Board designed by National Instruments. The NB-DIO-24 is a part of the NB Series and is also referred to as DIO-24. The NB-DIO-24 is created for the Macintosh NuBus. This Digital I/O Board can be connected to the SC-206X Series of Signal Conditioning Boards with the use of the SC-2051 Cable Adapter Board. The NI NB-DIO-24 can be used with the CB-50 Connector Block, the ER-8/16 Relay Accessory, the AT-DIO-32F Digital I/O Board, and the NB1 ribbon cable as well. The NB-DIO-24 allows 2.0 A power allotted by slot, 1.0 A power available for accessories, and 0.8 A power used by the board.
The NB-DIO-24 has 24 digital I/O lines available. There are three ports with eight digital lines each. The National Instruments NB-DIO-24 has its own handshaking circuitry for every port on the board. This means that additional wiring may be needed to ensure data transfer of a group with multiple ports is dependable. NI-DAQ driver software is used to operate the NB-DIO-24 card.
The NI NB-DIO-24 has the same functions as the NB-PRL. The only difference is the connector type. When the NB-DIO-24 is cabled to an SCXI module in Multiplexed mode, several of the pins can only be utilized for SCXI. These reserved SCXI pins include digital I/O lines PB0 to PB3. The other lines of these ports are solely available for output. Digital I/O line PA0 is additionally saved for SCXI use. It is important to note that the National Instruments NB-DIO-24 Board does not support applications involving multiple chassis.
