The Q-Count bacterial colony counter can be used in the pharmaceutical, food, and farming industry for quantity and growth data analysis. This instrument uses software that communicates with the camera for detailed imaging and distinguishes sections of the sample plate. Spiral Biotech was rebranded as Advanced instruments which continues to produce osmometers, cytometers, and colony counters but they have discontinued this particular model.


This used Q-Count 510 is in good cosmetic condition, but has noticeable signs of wear and age including scuffed paint. However, cosmetic damage does not affect the mechanical integrity of the instrument. New Life Scientific technicians have evaluated the colony counter and confirmed that it appears to be fully-functional, but they could not test the capabilities of the instrument. The Q-Count software was installed on a PC, but the instrument requires an additional card. The technicians substituted a card from another instrument, but the instrument the software did not communicate with the camera; this software did control the light function. This instrument will be sold as a used-working product and New Life Scientific offers a thirty-day warranty. If the product is damaged or defective within thirty days of receipt, the buyer has the right to return it for a refund.
